I am a policy advocate and innovator in the Child Welfare and Industrial Hemp industry.

I have developed 50+ partnerships, delivered 30+ public speeches, influenced 4 policies, led 8 projects and raised over $100,000 impacting thousands of youth and professionals.

Engaging and talking with people is not a job, it is how I like to spend my time.

August 2018 - Current 

  • Built two strategic partnerships with New York State’s Office of Children and Family Services Foster Care Awareness Month Media Campaign and Alia Innovations UnSystem Cohort. 

National Policy Lead||FosterClub

June 2016 - Current

  • Authored blogs, newsletters, and Op-Ed pieces and delivered national campaign launch speeches that influenced the passing of two federal legislation's, The Health Care for Former Foster Youth Act/ SUPPORT Act and The Family First Prevention Act, improving the lives of 500,000+ foster youth in and out of foster care in America.  

All-Star Intern||FosterClub    

May 2016 - September 2016 

  • Facilitated 30+ workshops at nationally held child welfare conferences, educating and training over 3,000 foster youth in their transition from foster care to independent living, reaching over 170,000 Facebook users, and producing 28 E-Newsletters reaching up to 65,994 people per email, and making thousands of connections.

  • Influencing the future of the child welfare system by operationalizing the UnSystem through ideating, designing, testing, failing, and retrying transformative, radical, and bold ideas with 30+ child welfare innovators across 5 jurisdictions and 14 counties. 

  • Delivering evidence based research and proof of concept to congress to establish Alia as the answer to child welfare reform.

May 2017 – October 2017 

  • Ideated, prototyped, designed, and reimagined a new child welfare system, developing 30 prototypes, thousands of ideas, and hundreds of evaluations in collaboration with design pioneers, IDEO, and 100+ leaders at all levels and in all industries. 

Co-Founder||Hi-Zor Farm Hemp Processing

  • Introducing portable decortication to hemp growers and producers through New York State's Industrial Hemp Agricultural Research Pilot Program (NYS IHARPP), developing research, economic development, and market opportunities.

 

Founder||Foster Youth College Tour Program      

December 2016 – Current

 

  • Created, organized, and led four college tours for 40+ foster youth in New York State and coordinated facilitated workshops across eight departments, educating youth on financial aid, scholarships, and college opportunities available for foster youth.

 

Founder||Geneva Satellite Iteration 1 Program 

September 2016 – August 2017 

 

  • Established a STEM and NASA aerospace research program, now in its third year, in partnership with Hobart and William Smith Colleges and the Colorado Space Grant Consortium’s RockSat-C Program. 

  • Oversaw the assembling, testing, and integration of four Geiger Counter Radiation Sensor Kits that were attached to HWS’s RockSat-C teams research payload that was launched into space out of NASA Wallops Flight Facility.  

  • Led workshops and a full campus tour, over nine weeks, for 26 students, generating electronics, programming, 3D-printing, machining, payload design, and shop work skills and resume experience.
